Resin-Bound Driveways

Resin-Bound Driveways

Resin bound surfacing is worth considering where you want a clean, even finish with no loose stone and simple upkeep. The permeable build-up can also be a tidy way of handling surface water within your own boundary.

How it's built

Selected aggregate is mixed with clear resin and trowelled to a seamless finish over a prepared base. Colour blends range from buff and gold through to greys, and edging can be matched or contrasted.

Is my existing base suitable?

Sometimes an existing surface can be overlaid if it is sound and falls correctly; other times a new base is the better long-term answer. The survey notes in our projects show both situations being assessed.

What shapes a proposal

Every project is different, so anything you'd receive would be written after looking at your space. These are the factors that usually shape the options:

  • Area, shape and condition of the existing surface
  • Aggregate blend and colour choice
  • Whether a new base or an overlay makes sense
  • Edging, borders and threshold details
